after sleeping for almost twelve hours straight....
Saturday, April 6, 2002, 02:46 p.m.

I feel much better. *grins* Surprising how that works out, huh? ^_~

I'm so glad that our event is over. *collapses* Even after a whole lot of sleep I'm still tired. But, it turned out to be a huge success. ^_____^ We barely managed to seat everyone, even after having added about three more tables, we were so full. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food (Korean buffet - which, incidentally, I didn't get to eat since I was running around so much *pouts*) and the program. I even get Monday off. Yay!

*snerks* Even if I do prolly spend most of it cleaning. ^O^;;;

I got this in my email and it cracked me up. ^^v

A) The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or Americans.

B) On the other hand, the French eat a lot of fat and also suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or Americans.

C) The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or Americans.

D) The Italians drink generous amounts of red wine and also suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or Americans.

E) Conclusion: Eat & drink what you like. It's speaking English that kills you.

I'm starting to get some odd search hits.

christy sexy cosplay ~ Uh...okay...but you do realize there's got to be a ton of girls named Christy who do cosplay. Well, not a ton, but a good number.... :P
girl fucking gear shift ~ ...the fact that my blog was second in that string of search words scares me. o.o;;;;
jak daxter yaoi ~ Now there's a thought. *grins* Despite the fact that my blog was the first site in the search, I dun have anything like that here. Sowwy! ^^;
pimp game ~ *lol* Is there really a game like this? I mean, really? *LOL*

~*~

I got to go home after dropping off the layouts for our dinner program book. Yay! ^_______^

And since the freeway that I take to go home is the same freeway that I take to go to Mandarake, I decided to go ahead'n go. *giggles* Didn't take much for me to convince myself that I deserved a li'l treat. ^_~

My haul:
Initial D
* Wataru/Keisuke - I got this just for the pairing. But...it's not quite my thing. It's a lot more...hardcore than I like. Seems to be some sort of control thing going on and Wataru's much more cruel than the way that I see him.
* Takumi/Keisuke - *grins* It's hella cute. With an aggressive Takumi-seme. Some inspiration for my still unfinished jealousy ficcy. XD
* Takeshi/Shingo - That's right! I got me a NightKids dj! With an aggressive Shingo-uke! XD *boings insanely* ^_______________^

Final Fantasy
* all character FF8 - The cover is really pretty. And the inside seems to have lots of short, silly stories. ^_^
* Tseng/Rufus - Puuuurty Tseng with real young-looking Rufus. =_= Would enjoy it more if Rufus actually looked his age 'stead of like jail-bait.
* Sephiroth/Zack/Cloud - Silly li'l story where Cloud's crushing on Seph, Zack's crushing on Cloud, and Seph's bein' the silver-haired sex god that he is. XD
* Seph/Zack/Cloud - Some really nice art. Very nice Zack piccies. *__* And a hilarious short of Aeris dressing Seph'n Cloud in li'l girl's dresses. ^O^
* all character FF7 - An odd li'l dj. o.O; I...really don't know how to describe what's going on. Cute, but odd. ^^;

Kenshin
* Shinsengumi - It looks like it's just a sweet li'l chronicle of some of the other members of the Shinsengumi. ^___^

I came out like a bandit. XD

Now, time to get a couple hours sleep 'fore I gotta get going again. *yawns* ^_^v

twice...
Tuesday, April 2, 2002, 09:04 a.m.

Twice, now, I've crashed at the office. @.@;;;

I'm so friggin' exhausted right now. After I drop this stuff off at the printers, I'm gonna ask if I can go home.

*yawns, waves, and toddles off*

an apology
Monday, April 1, 2002, 04:02 p.m.

inky-hunny, sorry I cut out on you so abruptly there. My brain was hurting and I needed to take a quick nap 'fore my head exploded. @.@;;;

=_=
Tuesday, March 26, 2002, 11:57 p.m.

Here's a tip for you. If you get the chance to see Steven Spielberg's Artificial Intelligence, don't. Fucking two hours of my life wasted on watching that piece of crap. =_= I could have spent that time lit out of my mind. Lit. But, no. We decided to watching Artificial fucking Intelligence. =_=

On a happier note. Well...insaner note. ^^;; I bought a lighter today. A MashiMaro lighter. For $40. I think I've cracked. ^O^;

Monday, March 25, 2002, 04:44 p.m.

^O^ I just saw Kenta's twin! *LOL*

I was taking a short smoking break just now, when a bright orange Civic pulled up to the stop sign in front of my work. Bright orange. With a huge whaletail spoiler. *giggles* But, not on the trunk, like it usually is, but above the rear window. *LOL*

Just thought I'd share this random moment. ^_^v

mmm...almond cookies.... ^o^
Monday, March 25, 2002, 12:42 a.m.

d00d. I saw Blade II tonight. Over the top violence and gore. Ass-kicking Daywalker. Cute, sword-wielding asian vampire-dude. It was fucking awesome. XD

Nothing Oscar worthy, but definitely entertaining. I'm so buying this when it comes out on DVD.

Last night, my roommates and I went to this party at a club in Beverly Hills. My roomie's cousin knew the guy, apparently, and he threw lots of parties so that young, professional asians could hang out and meet each other. At first, we didn't want to go, 'cause all three of us had been working all day. But, my roomie's cousin was going, and she wanted to see her cousin, so I let her persuade me into going.

The club was really small, and the DJ was really bad. It was like we had Power 106 on at a house party, or something. The drinks were all watered-down, so I couldn't get all drunk, either. =_=

I don't know if you guys understand, but I haven't been to a club in years. Literal years. I think that the last time I went to an actual club club, it was almost three years ago. Now, I generally stick to raves, massives, and after-hour clubs, where I dress all casual and wear tennis shoes to dance in. Yesterday, I dressed up, put on my high boots, and applied makeup. ^O^

The club wasn't too much fun, but it was nice being out with my roommates. After the club, we went to go eat and had a lot of fun. ^_______^ After that, we came home, smoked some, got really lit, and watched the beginning of Ranma 1/2. XD

We didn't end up going to sleep until 6 a.m.

For a weekend that I thought would be all about working, it turned out to be rather fun. Just what I needed. Especially after the last weekend was such a bust. >.<

After the fucking Riverside Police Department screwed us all out of our massive rave plans, we were still determined to get all sorts of fucked-up. Unfortunately, it was also really hard for us to get our hands on anything. There's a huge dry-spell going on right now. Thanks to all the busts and crack-downs. grrrr....

So we finally find some, which were alright, but it was way too mellow for us. We like the insane bursts of energy, so we tend to like our stuff kinna smacky. *pouts*

Must find out what raves are coming up and try to see if we're going to catch any or wait for Audiotistic or Electric Daisy.

Inky, I read your ficblog again. XD

Have I told you lately how much I'm liking this fic? Mmm...Take-sensei-seme... H_______H

I really like idea 'cause it allows for a take-sensei to be top without having to think about power dynamics. XD

How Sweet It Is was postponed. T_T I cannot begin to explain the amount of sadness I feel from these happenings. *sighs* Oh well. We're still planning on going to a club. My weekend goal of getting all sorts of fucked-up is still possible. ^_^v

don't mess wit' me, esse...don't you know I'm loco?

^_~

Ahhh...so much to say, and finally, some decent time to sit'n play catchup.

So, lessee...

For the first part of the weekend, I wasn't in a good place. I was in a deep and serious funk. So, I went home'n met up with some friends. Then, to deal with our various stress, we all got pretty lit. Yeah.... ^_____________^

On Monday, I went to a march that ended up being a little over four and a half miles long. @.@ I didn't mind, though. But, halfway through the march, what should happen. I get my period. =_= Luckily, we were in front of a Ross, so I ran in, bought the first pair of jeans I could find in my size and under $15 and a pair of underwear. I changed and when I came out, I couldn't see hide nor hair of the rest of the march. O.O

So I started after them, going in the direction we'd been going. I called'm on my cellphone, got directions, and jammed after them, 'cause if I wanted to catch up, I had to go faster than they were. o.O;; I think I power-walked almost a mile and a half. By the time I reached them, I was frickin' exhausted. Ready to collapse. Time to check out and let my body achieve zen stillness. But, no, still had about half a mile left to go. ~.~

Oi oi oi....

Tuesday and Wednesday weren't too exciting. I went to work. I went home - usually kinda late. I slept. Yesterday, I realized the rave I've been lookin' forward to was this Saturday. I still needed to make my fuzzy pants. So I spent several hours yesterday cutting and starting the sewing.

I think I've been working too hard 'cause I started doing some stupid shit. After sewing the crotch of the two back pieces, I then proceeded to continue to sew down the leg sides. <.<;; I don't know how much y'guys know about sewing, but that basically meant that I was making a funky lookin' skirt. =_= I had to take out those stitches. This may not sound like much, but my fuzzy material is very thick - i.e. extremely difficult to sew by hand.

I gave up. :P

Today, I went to the Home Depot to see if they had any rivet guns or heavy-duty staplers. All I could find were staple guns. Darn. I figured that since my pants material is so thick, I can just staple the seams together. *grins* Wouldn't work with any other material, but it should with this one. Tomorrow, I'm gonna bring home the heavy-duty stapler we have at work. XD

Also made several beadies. *grins* Several people should be expecting something in their mailbox sometime in the future. ^_~

inky, I know you sent me a copy of the bit you were looking for, but when I went to find it, I couldn't. I think I must've accidentally trashed it back when I was doing that major catch-up and cleaning out of my mailbox. T_T me, sowwy....

search hits fun
Thursday, March 14, 2002, 03:50 p.m.

*grins* I haven't checked these in a while.

kyo green energy feel great - that has got to be one of the most random string of words to search for. ^^
pasoy dos - way fun to play, but prolly not what they were expecting. ^o^
Jak and Daxter fanfics - again, if anyone finds some, lemme know. I'm kinna curious on what there is. ^_~
Ways to pimp out your Honda Civic - <.<;; I'm guessing they weren't using the word 'pimp' the way I'm thinking.... *giggles*
full movie da pimp - there's a movie with that title? mizzy keeps wanting me to watch one called Pimps Up, Hoes Down, or something like that. *grins* The search engines are gonna have fun with that one. XD
idle pimp - an idle pimp is a poor pimp, no? *snerks* Perhaps I should think of changing my blog title. I'm having a string of 'pimp' searches here. >D

some apologies and explanations
Sunday, March 10, 2002, 10:16 a.m.

To all my aim buddies, I wanted to offer an apology and explanation of why I've been so hard to reach in this past week and this weekend.

I've been busy as fucking hell getting ready for this union election we'd been organizing for a very long time. The entire staff at my work was putting in all their effort and shitloads of time to win this thing 'cause it's a pretty landmark election. It's the first time that anyone's tried to unionize this particular industry, and we were doing it with as an independent union, rather than one affiliated with the AFL-CIO.

Anyways, our election was yesterday. We thought we had it in the bag. Our workers were fucking awesome and dedicated and so damn inspiring.

Then the results came in.

We tied. That's not a loss, but it's not a win, either. And after we figured out the numbers, we found out that about 20 workers that we'd thought were voting with us voted with management, instead. We were devestated. The workers were devestated. Because of that, my staff all felt this incredible guilt last night. But, we couldn't dwell on that, because we had to ensure that our workers stayed strong. We spent most of the night of what was supposed to be our victory celebration making sure that the workers understood that although we didn't win outright, we certainly did not lose.

Yes, we fucked up. Rather majorly in our assessments. But. Considering that it was our first time organizing a union and that we were up against the most notorious union-busting firm in the country, we did really well. The firm was using thugs to bully the workers and breaking the labor laws concerning union elections left and right. The fact that so many of our workers stayed strong is a testament to their dedication and their need. That does nothing to assuage all of my staff's guilt for not being able to give them a victory that they'd all been working so hard for.

T_T

mizzy, you're absolutely right. The "American Dream" is a fucking sham. =_=
