I will love you 'till my dying day~~~ Tuesday, May 28, 2002, 06:13 p.m.
I spent about 10 hours of this weekend sober. Maybe. XD
But thinking back on it, I didn't really do a whole lot. :P
Did watch Episode II again. <.<;; d00d, Lucas is damn lucky Obi-hunny's such a hottie'n the last 30 minutes rock 'cause otherwise, that movie woulda been ass. ^^;
Some random thoughts while watching for the second time. *grins* When Jengo'n Obi-Wan meet on Caminoa, there's this close-up of Obi-hunny'n damn he looks purty. *____* Young, too. "He's like my father" my ass. *rolls eyes*
Then, the scene where they show Obi-hunny in that force-field restraints thing. Uh...am I the only one that just had naughty naughty thoughts at that? >D
One of the gripes I had about Episode II was that Obi-Wan was quite the bad-ass with the lightsaber in the first movie. So...what the fuck happened? How'd he get so punked by Count Dooku? Well, I was thinking about it and the poor boy didn't have a very restful few days before that. First, he got ambushed by the battle droids, got caught, got put in that force-field thing where it doesn't look like he got to move a single muscle *restraings H-thoughts*, got strung up, had to fight the huge praying-mantis-like monster, fought the droids, had to thump some sense into Anakin, and then had to fight Count Dooku after Anakin rushed in and messed up his battle-plan. *petpetpets Obi-hunny* Poor boy was tired.
And can you imagine what it musta been like for him to raise Anakin? *shudders* o.o;; *snerks* Look on the ficblog in the days to come. ^_~
I also saw the last four episodes to Trigun. *blinks* Damn. Can we say mindfuck? o.O;;; I was left with my jaw gaping and my brain'n heart hurting for poor Vash. ;_;
d00d! Didj'all see the Lakers game on Sunday? ^O^ Robert Horry doesn't get near enough attention for his skills. Which reminds me, I should go watch the game tonight.
Laterz, yo. ^_^v
adventures of the ass-genie Wednesday, May 22, 2002, 10:07 p.m.
*grins* Lemme recount a recent conversation:
Steve: *trying to unlock his front door* So, you like rubbing my ass, Stella?
Stella: *rubrubrubs* That's right, I'm hoping the ass-genie comes out.
cys: *laughing like a loon* Ass-genie?
Stella: *grins'n waves her hands* Yeah. I see lotsa smoke but no genie....
cys: Something else's pokin' out, but I don't think it's a genie....
Steve: *snorts'n moves away*
*grins* I gots weird friends. XD
I watched The Phantom Menace, and was again struck with the awesomeness that is Obi-hunny. ^_______^ Which makes me outraged yet again at how they turned Obi-Wan from a bad-ass fighter with his 'saber to getting punked by Count Dooku. =_=
My roomie brought up a good point, though. By that time, Obi-Wan had been travelling a good while, fought Jengo Fett, fought battle droids, been captured, fought that huge praying-mantis-monster-thing, and then fought more droids. He was a poor, exhausted Jedi by that point. Poor Obi-hunny....
But, I will be seeing Episode II again this weekend. I will resolutely ignore all the romance crap. :P Damn Lucas for cutting the Obi-Wan scenes with the romance stuff. *rolls eyes*
^____________^ Obi-hunny~~~~~
be ready for a great journey~~ Sunday, May 19, 2002, 07:10 p.m.
Went to the Renaissance Faire today. ^___^ It was fun. We pretty much ate our way through the faire. First, we started off with some spicy chicken leg'n thigh, then we had some corn on the cob, some breadsticks and an onion cluster, some mead, and a steak on a stake. *grins* Lotsa food.
Then, we wandered around looking at stuff0rz'n the shows'n costumes. d00d, some of those women were practically falling outta their corsets. ^O^;
I tried the bow and arrow and got a bull's eye. ^___^v As my prize, I got a little paper that says, 'Master of the Longbow', three cheers, and public humiliation. *snerks* My one purchase at the faire that wasn't food was this toy crossbow that shoots marshmallows or pingpong balls. *evilgrins* I anticipate hours of amusement with this new toy. >D
*LOL* Like the geek that I am, I took lotsa pictures. 'specially of our knight in the Joust to the Death. *giggles*
All in all, a very fun day. And now, I'm off to watch Star Wars, Episode I: The Phantom Menace again. Y'know...just so I can go see Episode II again. ^_~
whee~! Saturday, May 18, 2002, 10:34 p.m.
I got my car back! ^_______^
I was a little stressed about it at first, because when I called the rental place about turning in the rental car I was using, I was informed that I'd only been authorized for 3 days and that my insurance adjustor hadn't authorized anything further than that. I've had the car for three weeks. If that was true, then I would've had to pay almost $500 for it. O.O
So I started making some frantic calls to the adjustor but she was on vacation and wouldn't be back until the day that I had to turn it in. =_=
Luckily, everything got worked out and I didn't have to pay for anything. And. I got my car back!
XD
It's so purty now. ^___________^
quickie 'fore I go to work.... Thursday, May 16, 2002, 08:36 a.m.
^^v
Last night, I was a bit too jazzed to make sense. *grins* Though I'm guess my excitement for the movie came out just fine. Just no real details. I wanna wait on that 'till more people have seen it. <.<;;
And until I've seen it again. 'Sides, this first showing was more for the experience for me. XD
I saw it at the Mann's Chinese theatre in North Hollywood. The one with the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of it. *grins* The geeks were out in force. (And yes, I was one of them ^_~). Brian dressed up as a Jedi, but his brother got really sick so he couldn't come out. Christy and I ran up and down the line looking for cool costumes and taking pictures. We got a beautiful Queen Amidala, two Darth Vaders, a Boba Fett, and two Storm Troopers. ^_^v
Then we got into the theatre'n everyone just about exploded when the projectionist showed up. *LOL* And the cheers for The Matrix: Reloaded were incredible. Not as loud as when the LucasFilms logo came on, but close. See, that's why I'm willing to stand in line for hours and endure some not so pleasant people to see a movie on its opening night or weekend. Especially for Star Wars. It's the high friggin' energy that just runs through everybody in the crowd. We were whooping and hollering and clapping so loud sometimes, we missed the next bit of dialogue. ^^; But damn, was it fun. XD
mizzy, I kept calling Anakin 'Stalker-Boy' during the entire movie. :P And each time Obi-Wan was on screen, I know I was grinnin' like a fool. ^O^ But, the highlight of the film has got to be YODA! XD
obi-hunny~~~~ Thursday, May 16, 2002, 02:45 a.m.
XD Lemme repeat that with feeling....
OBI-HUNNY~~~~~!
*swoons* ^O^ *takes a deep breath* KYAAAAAA~~~~~~~~~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!! <= notice all the exclamation points. That is cys pissing her fucking pants 'cause of Episode II. *collapses into a big pile of happy goo*
All's I can say is: god-damn the last forty-five minutes fucking made that movie! GO SEE! NOW!
^______________^
four hours until obi-hunny~~~ Wednesday, May 15, 2002, 08:04 p.m.
XD
*zooms t'go stand in line* ^_^v
and inky, remember, I'm callin' ya at midnight your time! *hugglesmoochies*
one more day 'till obi-hunny~~~ Tuesday, May 14, 2002, 09:35 p.m.
*boingyboingyboingies* XD
d00d, I had a scary thought earlier. I'm gonna be 30 when Episode III comes out. <.<;;;
Oh, well. ^_^
*BOINGS* One more day! XD
two days until obi-hunny~~~ Monday, May 13, 2002, 10:48 p.m.
XD
d00d, at this point, I'm almost counting the minutes. *grins* Not only am I going to watch the midnight showing of it, I'm watching with my best friend and her honey. Her honey is a mad fan of Star Wars. He's gonna be dressed up as a Jedi Knight while his brother and his friends are all dressing as Storm Troopers. ^O^
It's not surprising we were able to get him into cosplay so easily. XD
Watching Iron Monkey again. Which means, random comment time! *beams*
*giggles* Man, they got some funny dialogue in there. "You eat too much shark-fin and that makes you horny." *LOL*
Wong Kei-ying.... *___* *giggles* The things the man can do with an umbrella.... ^_~
For some reason, I really like the scene where Master Wong and Dr. Yang show off their mad cooking skillz. *grins*
I also like how Wong Kei-ying has such style when he fights. The way he has time to do little poses. *____* Obsessed? Me? Perish the thought. ^_~
And of course, Dr. Yang is quite the renaissance man. Not only is he bad-ass martial arts master and doctor, he's also a good musician. *grins* Man, I love how over-the-top Chinese flicks can be. XD
The kid who plays Wong Fei-hong is just too adorable for words. n.n And quite the little bad-ass in kungfu himself. XD
Awww... When Wong Kei-ying takes Fei-hong's hand, that's just so sweet. I just love the entire father-son dynamic of those two. So much love there, for all that Wong Kei-ying tries to be all gruff. ^_______^
Have I mentioned how much I like Wong Kei-ying? ^_~
Damn... They don't have any of that "let's take it easy on the girl" shit inthis movie. They wail on the one chick in the Royal Minister's entourage.
*LOL* d00d, Master Wong'n Dr. Yang sure do chow down a lot. XD
The final battle up on the poles just has to be seen to be believed. Yeay for teamwork! ^_____^
My only complaint is that the love between Miss Orchid'n Dr. Yang is just way too obvious for anything to have happened with him'n Master Wong. *pouts*
What? ^_~
three more days 'till obi-hunny~~~ Sunday, May 12, 2002, 04:00 p.m.
XD
d00d, I was watching Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and noticed the end credits. Didj'all know that Mark Hamill was the voice of The Joker? o.o
*grins* That's kinda cool. XD
Inna really geeky kinda way.... <.<;;
four days 'till obi-hunny~~ XD Saturday, May 11, 2002, 06:12 p.m.
And the Star Wars: Episode II countdown begins. mweeheeheehee!!
I'm trying to learn FrongPage for work. o.O; Is it just me or is FrongPage not as easy as they claim it is? Or mebbe I'm just stupid? <.<;; Ah well, I'm sure I'll figure it out sometime.
d00d, I just saw the art of Cloud in Kingdom Hearts, the new Square/Disney fusion RPG. *__* Looks verra verra nice. *snerks* Though his clothes are very Vincent-esque. The first thing I thought when I saw that was: damn, the yaoi fangirls are gonna go ape-shit over that.... ^O^;
Zack: *growls*
^^;;
get closer beat by beat Wednesday, May 8, 2002, 11:50 p.m.
to that think I really need. I'm fucking terrified. will you be ever satisfied? ~~KMFDM
I had a performance review today that didn't go quite as I thought it would. They're really happy with my dedication and the work that I do as an organizer. However, that wasn't the position I was hired for. Unfortunately, my position is as an admin.
Now, I realize that I'm not a very anal-retentive person, and so keeping up with the paperwork that my work requires of me is hard. But, I thought I was doing pretty good at it. Apparently, I haven't been. Which means I need to try even harder to make sure that the things I need to get done, gets done. It's just hard for me to micro-manage my time in the way that it needs to be. But, since my behavior and performance is noticeable to my supervisor, I really need to change that.
Anyways, what this all comes down to is that I'm gonna be re-prioritizing my workload so that my adminy standards come up to match my organizing standards. So, I made the decision to not be online during work hours. Not that I'm on a lot now, but I figure I should cut out as much distraction as I can.
*huggles inky, mizzy, hase'n sami* Which is why I'm apologizing in advance if it seems like I'm never on anymore. T_T
spider-man! spider-man! doin' the things, a spider can! Sunday, May 5, 2002, 11:49 p.m.
*grins* Guess what movie I saw this weekend? ^_~
I went to Washington DC on Thursday, and so was gonna miss seeing Spiderman this weekend with my friends. Luckily, I was able to convince some like-minded individuals to go watch the film while in our esteemed capitol. (note the sarcasm of the last phrase ^_~)
I loved it. XD Yeah, it had its cheesy moments. Yeah, the dialogue was stilted and way too 'comic book' at parts. But still. The movie rocked. Whee! Spidey on the big screen!
They kept pretty true to the comic, which I really appreciated it. It was so frickin' cool to see Stan Lee's vision from so long ago transcribed onto the big screen with the respect and effort it deserves. ^______^
*giggles* I couldn't help noticing one thing that made me think evil thoughts, though. There's this one scene where Green Goblin sprays Spidey with a sleeping gas. Spidey then falls from the building where Green Goblin flies to catch him and zooms away. Boy, did that make me think bad bad bad thoughts. >D
As for DC? The politicans and staffers fed us nothing but bullshit, which was expected. :P But damn, were the other people in our conference bad-ass. XD
PERSIST and RESIST!
one reason why I wubwubwub my daddy Monday, April 29, 2002, 08:43 p.m.
Last Wednesday night, while going home from work at 11:30 pm, I got on the freeway on-ramp and into a pretty huge accident. >.<
Technically, it's my fault. But, I refuse to take any blame for it. Here's what happened.
I'm getting on the on ramp when I see the car in front of me start to brake. So I brake, too. I see his brake lights go out, so I assume (as any normal person would) that he's stepped off the brake and is either coasting, or accelerating. By the time I realized that he was actually stopped on the freeway, it was too late for me to avoid the collision and *CRASH* my car's trashed.
Ends up the car in front of me had to brake to avoid hitting the little old lady standing next to her car that was stopped in the middle of the freeway. Without her hazards on. He avoided hitting her, and then I come crashing into him a second later and send him crashing into her car. Oo>.
I about had a shit-fit because I thought I had no insurance. My dad had recently told me he was taking me off of his policy and that I had to get some on my own. What's sad, is that I'd started researching different policies and was getting some quotes from agents already, but I hadn't committed to one yet.
So there I am, having a complete panic attack while the CHP gets us all off the freeway and to a gas station at the next exit.
I called my brother, but he didn't answer (turns out he was just falling asleep and didn't want to get out of bed =_=), so I called my roommates and they came to get me. While we were waiting for the CHP to finish getting everything down, and my car was getting put on the tow truck, my roommate tells me to call my dad and find out exactly when I was taken off because some carriers will still cover you up to a certain time after the policy ends.
I call my dad. At first, I need to explain that I was in an accident, and man, I never want to have to do that again. *cringes* Luckily, though, he didn't yell. He just asked if I was alright and if he could do anything. *huggles daddy* I asked when I was taken off the insurance, and he says that I'm still covered. d00d, there were choirs of fuckin' angels singing at that point. I was so relieved I almost passed out. ^O^;;;
*GLOMPS daddy* ^___________^
and that's why having family kicks serious ass.
Although, he did start the yelling and lecturing the day after. ^^;;
On Friday, my sister flew down to visit. On Saturday, my sister, my roommate and I went to get our hair done. I got a setting perm and now have out-of-control curls all over the place. ^________^v
What I learned during the days after my accident while I had no rental. Damn I need a car in LA. o.O; I'm so glad I finally got my hands on a rental car because it's impossible for me to do my job without a car. *sniffles* I want my own car back, though. ;_;
Now, I'm makin' some banners and we're gonna go weed-pasting at 11pm or so. ^^v

That's twice now that 'girl fucking gear shift' tagged me in a search and pulled me up as the second hit. o.O;;;
adventures in getting cablemodem Wednesday, April 24, 2002, 04:59 p.m.
My God, getting high-speed internet access is a whole lot more work than I expected it to be. =_= It's been two days, so far, and no joy. Though I've been close.
Yesterday, I tried to order cablemodem online through AT&T's website. I got through everything until the very end, when it asked for my credit card information. Unfortunately, my credit card doesn't expire until 2006, but the site only had years up to 2005. Which meant that when I clicked to verify and set up a time for installation, the st00pid thing wouldn't go through.
If that wasn't enough, I couldn't find a frickin' number for AT&T Broadband anywhere. I searched high and low on that site, but no luck. I finally called 411 and asked them and got a general number. But by that time, I had to go to a meeting, so I put it off 'till today.
Today, I called them before lunch and had it all set up for them to come to my apartment and set up both cable for our TV and cablemodem. After talking with my roommates, we all decided that we didn't need the cable since all three of us were so rarely in the apartment, and besides, AT&T was charging through the nose for the installation and the service. So, I called them again and tried to cancel just the cable installation.
=_= Imagine my surprise when they couldn't do that, and had to cancel the whole thing. >.< Again, at that point, I had to get back to work, so now I gotta wait even longer. *resists the urge to dive-bomb AT&T* Though thinking on it, it may be for the best that I don¡¯t order it until after next weekend. I can't stay home for a four hour block to wait for the installation guy to come, and this weekend my sister is coming down, and next weekend, I'm going to Washington DC on a business trip.
Anyways, that's enough of my belly-aching. ^^v
Had the trippiest dream last night. I dreamed that all my friends were being tested for superpowers, and given moral tests to see whether they would be villains or heroes. mizzy'n hase, in their neko-forms, were plotting hard to become super-villains. sami was like Kiki from Sluggy Freelance, trying to keep them from taking over/blowing up the world.
*hums'n happily dresses and undresses Kyo over'n over again* H________H
*snerks* Mebbe it's just me, but even in pink, damn is Kyo hot. XD
Ryou: H__H *takes laptop and mouse away to play with Kyo-doll* My turn. *puts the pirate bandanna on Kyo-doll and keeps trying to take off the undies* H__H
*giggles*
comments & criticism Thursday, April 18, 2002, 10:07 a.m.
Just read inky's entry on ficcing and then went and read everyone else's comments on c&c. Made me glad I haven't had the time to put down my own rant about that yet 'cause they all seemed to be able to say it a lot more coherently. ^^;
Something to also keep in mind is that good c&c is hard. It means that you are reading with more than just a casual eye for, 'ooh, this is fun, let's see where it goes'. Instead, you are reading and making sure that you pay attention to practically every single detail. It isn't uncommon for me to go over every single line for its effect, flow, and style. And that's before I even get to characterization and plot. It's frickin' exhausting. It's also why I only do in-depth c&c for friends or those who ask nicely and I know have the rudimentary grammatical skills to not make me want to bash my head against the wall. If the grammar and spelling are just too horrible, it detracts from my ability to separate the style from the mechanics of the fic.
Which is why having a good grasp on grammar and spelling is so important. I cannot tell you of how many fics I've just given up on, even if they did have an interesting premise, just because I couldn't handle the way in which it was presented. I'm lazy, not a masochist. :P
Oh, and inky, does Kyou really need clothes? H__H
mail day ^_____^ Monday, April 15, 2002, 10:07 p.m.
'Fore I start ramblin'. Sowwy it took me so long to get online, inky-hunny. Ended up having meetings that lasted way too long all damn day. @.@;
Today seems to be a very good day for things to come in the mail. ^___^ First, I find a Weiss Kreuz ficcy by mizzy. Then, I come home from a 13 hour work day to find my Tekken 3 doujinshi has arrived. XD
JinxHwoarang! *goes into drool overdrive* XD~~~~~~~
d00d, it's a beautiful dj with purty purty purty Jin'n Hwoarang. *_____* A little over 30 pages of H-inducing JinxHwoarang sex0ring. H____H *pets dj* And it's mine...all mine... mweeheeheeheehee!
*coughs* Okay, I'm gonna stop now. Starting to sound just a wee bit disturbed there.... ^^;;;
In other news... I'm not gonna put the links up m'self ('cause I'm lazy, what else is new? :P), but I've been getting some odd search hits. Y'guys should check it out. If'n y'don't know how, hit the extreme tracker icon over and down to your left, then Summary 1. Odd. *snerks* Perhaps I should change my blog design so I stop gettin' so many 'pimp' hits. *grins*
My friends and I went clubbing again this past Saturday. We went to a techno club called Spundae and it was purty cool. Took forever and a day to get in though. *grumblegrumblegrowls* Next time, we're definitely getting tickets online first. Inside, there's two rooms. The first is for more high-energy with a stronger, harder beat. The second room, which I liked more, was less crowded and had more...well...druggie music. ^^;;; It's hard to explain but the feel of the music is different and can only be truly appreciated if one has been intoxicated in some way or form. ^_~ I got purty darn toasted. XD
Then, on Sunday, I was finally able to get some FFX playtime in. Woo! ^______^ 3 straight hours of playtime. Felt so much better after. Just wish I could frickin' figure out blitzball. I'm convinced that I'm on the cusp of understanding how it's played and how to win, but it keeps eluding me and I get my ass whooped in the second half. =_=
Now, my question is, why is it that I'm no longer in campaign or dinner mode, and I'm still not finding time to be online more? o.O;; It boggles the mind. Truly it does.
