o.o
I'm tired. *tilts*
Worked 12 hrs today. Go in to work again tomorrow. *tilts s'more*
For at least 8 hours. *almost falls down*
And this crazy schedule will continue until at least the end of the month. *collapses*
Maybe even after that. *loses all will to move*

*grins* Stephen Fung's hella cute. And Nick's not that bad, either. XD
Though the most intriguing character in Gen-X Cops has got to be the Japanese guy. Ruthless, sadistic, loyal, obsessed, and dedicated. Following his own set of codes.
Makes me think of Tseng. Mrowr. =^.^=

Just saw XXX tonight. Lemme sum up the important bits.
Vin Diesel tatted up and in tighty-whiteys. H___H
So I think I figured out part of why I like Kyouichi so much. *points up* He reminds me of Vin Diesel. He's got the same type of musculature. Buff, but not so buff that it's disgusting. And he manages to retain some...softness to his muscles so that it seems like he would be hella awesome to cuddle with. <.<; Among other things. XD~~~
And that voice! *swoons* So deep'n soft.... *melts*
*coughs* So. ^^; Enough of my fangirlyness.
Even though I had to work at my parents' drycleaners today, it's still been rather relaxing, compared to what I've been going through at work. @.@
I woke up at 11 am today, went in to work at my parents' store until 6:30 (half an hour past closing), went to Todai to eat (way too much. I'm still full. :P), came home, had my dad open pressies (I got him two golf cardigans ^_^v), and then had Bbora come over so we could watch XXX.
All in all, a very, very enjoyable day.
Tomor--er, later this morning *snerks*, I'm gonna try to wake up to have breakfast with my parents, go to church, drive back to LA, meet up with a coworker who's going away to grad school, and then try to see if there's enough time to go to a videogame tournament over at UCLA 'cause a shitload of people I know are gonna be there.
I think I'm gonna have to crash in the car since I know my brother's gonna insist on driving the entire way. *grins*
^_^v
black hole sun, won't you come, and wash away the rain~~

*snerks* Y'know, being out on the picket line every day from 12 pm to 8 pm is giving me quite the tan. On my arms at least. My legs still have a bit of their sickly pallor. :P
I'm going to my parent's this weekend 'cause it's my Dad's birthday. Since I won't be at work, mebbe I can actually find some time to be online. ^O^;;

*boings*
For some reason, I'm all hyper. XD Don't know why. I should be exhausted. <.<;; Not that I'm not. Exhausted, that is.
As the blankie's excuse, I offer up my work schedule for the last week. ^_^v
Monday - 9am ~ 12am @.@
Tuesday - 9:30am ~ 12am @.@;
Wednesday - 9am ~ 1:30am After that, I went over to one of our intern's apartment 'cause her apartment is like a 10 min. walk away from work. And I did that because...
Thursday - 6am ~ 10pm That's right. 6 in the fucking am. @.@;;
Friday - 9am ~ 9:30pm And after that, I had a small party over at my apartment 'cause one of my coworkers is going away to grad school which lasted until 4am. @.@;;;
Saturday - 10am ~ 8:30pm After that, I had a practice for a performance I'm doing tonight until 10pm. Then, after that, I went to a friend's house so we could see signs at 12:20am. Which ended at 2:30am. @.@;;;;;
Sunday (today) - 10am ~ 8:30pm And now, I've got a performance at 10:30pm. Which probably won't end until at least 12am. Though I don't think I'm gonna stay until the end. I'll probably do my set and then jet. 'cause I'm frickin' exhausted. x.x;;;;;;
signs was really good, by the way. I don't know what the critics have been smoking, but I liked the entire movie. Even the ending. M. Night Shyamalan is one of the directors that I'll always go see their movie. This, like the other two, didn't fail to give me a very satisfying movie.
I have to say that it's the most suspenseful of his three films. Even more than Sixth Sense. There was one part where I jumped so hard that I gave myself a cramp in the back of my thigh. O.O; And since I was in a movie theatre, I couldn't stretch it out until the end of the movie. ;_;
Okie, me gonna go eat fwied catfish, now. ^____^v

I love Powell's New and Used Bookstore in Portland, Oregon. Went on a business trip and had a couple hours 'fore my flight left back for LA. *___* Huge, cozy bookstore that sold both old and new books. My God I was in heaven.
I finished Wizard and Glass on my flight up to Portland, so I checked out the Stephen King section. I found Black House, the sequel to The Talisman, in hardback for $8, The Drawing of the Three for $3, and The Wastelands for $4. Wanna know what else? They didn't charge tax, either! ^O^v
What was weirdest, though, was that apparently in Oregon, it's against the law to pump gas yourself. You have to let the gas station attendant do it. o.O; That's just weird.
Hey, mizzy, I kept meaning to mention this piece-of-shit DDR machine I played on earlier this week. There was a DDR machine at this one bowling alley. I haven't played in a while, but it was 4th Mixx, so I was all happy to play. I get on, pick Kick the Can on Maniac and fail halfway through the song. Now, at first, I thought it was just 'cause I was off and hadn't practiced enough. So I tried it again. Same thing. Tried again on Trick, this time, and still failed! By this time, I knew something hokey was going on and that they'd either probably cranked up the difficulty setting all the way up to the hardest they could or that the sensors were a bit off. So frustrating. =_= But, since I was determined to finish a game, I kept putting quarters in like the idiot I am. >.<
And, yeah, it does take a while to get used to the half-steps, but once you do it gets a lot easier. What I noticed was that it was a lot easier if you learn how to 'step' rather than 'jump'. It takes less energy and lets you move faster. Don't think I can explain it over a blog, though. :P
Aw, crapnuts, I gotta do laundry this weekend.

They say that your memory's the first to go.
I went camping at Lake Arrowhead with my co-workers this weekend. We left on Friday night and came back this morning. All that I did while camping was sleep, eat, and lounge around and talk. On Saturday afternoon, I bought a book at the village and started to read.
I'm already on page 456.
It's been a really long time since I've been able to read like that. For a long time, I was reading 3-5 books a week. Every night, I would read for at least a couple of hours before sleeping. If it was a new book, I'd usually stay up all night so that I could finish it by morning (usually 'cause I had to work ^O^;;). Lately, though, I haven't been able to dedicate the time to do that. So I've started books (both old and new), and not been able to get more'n about a third of the way through before having to put it down and forget about it. Some of'm were old favorites, too. That made me real sad.
Then, on Saturday, I picked up Stephen King's The Dark Tower IV: Wizard and Glass. I know I read the first two of the Dark Tower series: The Last Gunslinger and The Drawing of the Three. And I think I read the third one, The Wastelands. But, I'm not sure. I think I remember parts of it, but then don't remember most of what it was about. o.O;
Which is what lead to my first comment about memory being the first to go. Age will find that I will go most unwillingly, however, so nyah! >p
Back to the book. I really like the Dark Tower series. I really like the character of Roland. I'm really liking Wizard and Glass 'cause it's giving more background for Roland that helps you see what made him into the implacable, haunted bad-ass that he is. *___*
One of the characters in the book asks if Roland's story will be a western. One of the other characters answers of course it'll be a western. And a lot of the story is steeped in the tradition of westerns. One thing that I like about Stephen King is that he can set such very vivid pictures into my mind. I also like how he can deal with the darker emotions of people without over-doing it. He usually manages to do it so mater-of-factly. Though sometimes, he does tend towards a bit of melodrama. But since it isn't chronic, I guess I can forgive him for it. :P
And maybe it's just that I've been a yaoi fangirl for way too long, but damn the book's got some slashy undercurrents. *eyes Roland and his ka-tet* Especially 'tween Roland and his pal Cuthbert. There are some strong emotions going on between those two. Oh, yes, there are. *rubs hands gleefully* Oh, aye, Mr. Eyes Too Blue to Be True Deschain and Mr. Likes to Hide Behind Words Allgood have been quite fascinating to read about, they have. ^___^
look at me, standing here, crying out my final tear...

*sighs* I need to go raving again. ^^
Whoo boy, this weekend was long and exhausting. *collapses into a heap* But damn was it fun. XD
On Thursday, we headed down to AX to get registered and thank God we did pre-register 'causes the registration line was insanely slow. After that, we headed over to the dealer's room and poked around for a bit there. I went a little nuts. ^^;; For me, I don't bother trying to find the big, expensive stuff 'cause if I really want it, I can find it here in LA. Instead, I go for the insanely cute, little, useless crap that you can't find. *grins* Like pins. I'm seriously starting to accumulate an ass-load of pins.
I now have Aoshi, Sanosuke, Kenshin, Saitoh, and Hiko from previous cons. I bought Auron, Inuyasha, and Tasuki. I got a free Gourry pin from this one booth. And I got an Inuyasha and Tonberry plushie. XD I found some Fruits Basket pins on Saturday, but by then, I was out of money and so couldn't get them. T_T But, I did get some Fruits Basket stationary. ^_^v
After that, we went back home and I started doing the last-minute stuff for my Dark Cloud costume. I didn't get to sleep until 4 am. @.@; But the costume came out real nice. Christy and Brian were mogs so we were accosted by many FF cosplayers. *grins* Bbora took lotsa pics so as soon as she gets those developed I'll get a copy'n scan them in. ^_^v
We found some Emperor car stickers, but it was only in green so Christy and I decided not to buy'm. *grins* We were gonna cut'm in half and paste them on upside down on our cars' spoilers. >D
Friday night, I finished up my Anji (GGX) costume'n got to sleep at 3 am. @.@; Saturday, Brian cosplayed Dante (Devil May Cry) and Christy did Sol Badguy (GGX). Brian got lots of attention and had one proposition to go home from one girl. XD *giggles* I even got attacked by a couple of rabid Anji fangirls. ^O^
There were some really nice costumes this year. There were two different sets of FFX cosplayers. There was one Auron that was really well done. And the guy was rather hot, too. The hot Auron had a really cute Sanosuke running around with him. *grins* Christy and I went up to them and talked about swords for a while. There were several Lulus but only one was really impressive. Lots of Yunas and Rikkus, which wasn't surprising at all. There was the cutest Hikaru (Angelic Layer) and Christy is trying her damndest to get me to cosplay as one of the angels for next year. We'll see. I really want to do a costume of Tenchi with the Lighthawk wings. *__* Purty costume. And I'd get a light-saber. XD
Ugh, I'm tired. I'll continue this tomorrow. *yawns'n crawls off to bed*
i have a dream...i have a dream...i have a dream, i still have a dream

Been working on cosplay for a while now. The sewing machine sure does make it easier to make costumes. XD I've made the cloak for KH Cloud 2.0 and am about 80% done with the pants. Just adding some belt hoops. I really should take some pics of my costumes in progress. ...or would that be a bit much? ^^;;
I'm all sad that Korea lost to Turkey. ;_; The World Cup has made the past few weeks here in LA quite memorable. The night before the Korea v. Germany game, everyone was in a "Be the Reds!" shirt. *snerks* Not that I understand what that means. I'm guessing it's a weird translation thing. :p
On the other hand, the entire PETA ads thing is making me wanna go on a "KILL!" rampage. >.< But, I'll save that for a rant later. *snarls* Fucking PETA. =_=
Still trying to decide if I really wanna wake up at 4 am tomorrow morning to watch the Brazil v Germany match. Sentiments makes me wanna cheer for Germany. Politics makes me wanna cheer for Brazil. Decisions, decisions.... ^_~
two trailer park girls go 'round the outside, 'round the outside, 'round the outside
Tuesday, June 18, 2002, 10:47 p.m.
M'friend and I got a sewing machine this weekend. ^_____^ All to help us with our cosplay. *giggles* We've definitely gotten into the deep end of it on that. d00d, we've bought power tools to help us make our costumes. ^O^;
In case anyone's curious, KH Cloud 2.0 is what I'm working on right now. I already have the sword, the shoulder guard, and the forearm thingy done already from last year. I'm currently working on getting the hip-guard done, and planning on sewing the pants tomorrow night. Then, I'm gonna play around with belts. *grins* XD
Then, after KH Cloud 2.0 is done, it's time to work on Anji 2.0. Since mizzy can't make it to Anime Expo, I'm not gonna try to get Farfarello done for AX. ;_;
Time for paper-mache! XD
holy whack unlyrical lyrics, andre!
Saturday, June 8, 2002, 10:35 a.m.
It's been quite awhile since I last blogged, hasn't it? ^^;;
Time for some recap:
Went to Milwaukee last weekend for a conference. Friday was game 6 of the western conference, so after our work stuff was done, all of us from LA went in search of a sports bar to watch the Lakers v. Kings game. <.<; We were quite loud. ^^;v
mizzy'n inky came to visit on Saturday. ^_______^ We geeked out with our laptops'n watching of anime. Got up to ep.18 of furuba, but was only able to watch eps1 and 2. Needed different codec to see the rest. *pouts* mizzy got up to ep17 of InuYasha from me. Saw Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Good movie. Love the music.
mizzy's a b'ankie stealer, but I just moved in closer to her and so suffered minimal b'ankie snatching. ^___^v I think wakin' mizzy up is an even harder task than waking me up. And that's saying a lot. ^o^; inky is a sweetie.
Very huggable. Very. ^___^ Also, rather tall. mizzy'n I aren't. At all. XD
On Sunday, we almost didn't make it to the airport 'cause of logistical problems (not enough shuttles from the hotel to the airport), and were on the plane during the last Lakers v. Kings game. NOOoooOOOOoOOO! *LOL* Should've seen all us rabid Lakers fans. We were using our cellphones to get scores and updates'n plays. *giggles* Finally, the captain had to come on the intercom'n say that the next person to use their cellphones while in the air would be arrested when we landed at LAX. ^^;; Captain did tell us the final score, though. ^___^v
Still haven't managed to see the rest of furuba. >.< St00pid codec doesn't work with MediaPlayer 7.0. St00pid MediaPlayer 6.4 doesn't work on Windows2000. St00pid RealPlayer doesn't download correctly. It's almost enough to convince a girl she isn't destined to watch. T_T
Did get to see lots of Vandread, though. XD
This weekend, m'friends and I are doing cosplay shopping and preparation. I'm modifying my Cloud/Zack costume to do the Cloud from Kingdom Hearts. Then, I need to put some finishing touches on my costume for Anji from GGX. After that, I'm still trying to decide what to do as my next cosplay. mizzy wants me to do farf. Which'd be kinda fun to do. *grins psychotically*
Here's a partial list of cosplay I'd like to do sometime in the future.
~ Rikku (FFX)
~ Tidus (FFX)
~ Eiko (FF9)
~ Parfait (Vandread)
~ Meia (Vandread)
~ Sesshoumaru (InuYasha)
~ and many more that I've just forgotten at the moment.
