Should I be disturbed that my blog was #9 in a search for squirtle yaoi?

don't rush me, I'm taking my time~~~

I got to stay for the Korean folk music class for the first time in a very long time last night. Usually, I'm so busy running around to meetings and other events, that I miss the Tuesday night classes. But yesterday, the action I was supposed to go to got cancelled and so I got to stay and attend. It was so much fun. ^__^

We started off with learning some folk songs, which is hard. Korean folk songs have all these accents and undulations to the melody and words that I have a lot of trouble with. That and my voice matches better to the guy's line than the girl's line. ^^;;

Then we drummed. It has been so long since I drummed. I've forgotten a lot of the rhythms that I used to be able to play in my sleep. o.o; I need to practice and attend more often. *nods* Yes.

After that, I went over to chill at a friend's house. He had a bunch of folks over. And they all played either the guitar or the drum. I was invited to take part in their jam session. Three guitars harmonizing with each other, two drums playing, one guy rapping, and one guy looking around and randomly clinking on things with a pencil until he settles with three bottles with varying amounts of liquid in'm and starts clinking on those bottles with everyone. Damn it was incredible. ^___________^

Now I get to clean and rearrange my room so that I can replace my old bed with a queen-sized bed. Whee! XD

so close, yet so far....

Spent almost four hours last night trying to get our wireless network to work. After much cursing and gnashing of teeth, we weren't successful. ;_;

First, we had trouble with Stella's computer. It kept freezing and was missing the driver for her network card. So we tried my laptop. That didn't work either. Turns out the AOL was fucking up my network connections. =_= So, we went back to trying to get Stella's computer to work. And it did! Success! Then it froze. When we restarted, the driver for her network card had magically disappeared. o.O;

So then, we had to use my dinky dial-up to download the driver, re-install it, and try again. I swear the computers were laughing at us the entire time. o.o

We finally had to give up at 10:30 so we could go to sleep. But fear not, Stella's cousin is going to come back on Thursday to see if the problem may be the router.

I will have broadband by the end of this week! I will! XD

I love cable, really, I do. *__* I watched the WRC Rally Sweden last night. XD Go Tommi! What struck me was that rallies could be very interactive for the spectators. Warning approaching cars about hazards (such as stopped cars) ahead and even helping out when cars get stuck. *grins* I wanna go to a rally.

I've only watched it twice, but I am getting rather addicted to the Cartoon Network's adult swim. At midnight, they have Reign: The Conqueror by Peter Chung. Very pretty, very interesting, and very Peter Chung. For those that don't know, Peter Chung was the creator of Aeon Flux and Reign has a lot of the same style and feel as Aeon Flux did, only with a much more cohesive plot. It's a bizarre, bloody, fantastical account of Alexander the Great's rise to power and everyone he stomped on in the process.

After that, we have Ba-da-ba-da! *grins* Lupin III. XD So old school. So cheesy. So great. ^_______^

Then there's Yu Yu Hakusho. And, yeah, it's dubbed but I don't find myself wanting to stab my ears with the remote control so it's not that bad. Well, except for Koenma. Can't stand his voice. =_=

Last, but not least, Cowboy Bebop. *__* Spike's voice is whatever, but Ed's voice is adorable. *glompies Ed* Makes ya wanna hug'n squeez'n pet the cutie. ^_______^

Also caught an episode of Samurai Jack. I liked it. *snerks* Kind of like the Powerpuff Girls and Dexter's Lab, it does more with less and has great scripts, music, and timing to make up for the simplistic art style.

<.<;; I've been watching a lot of TV in the past two days. Bad cable, evil cable. ^^;;

the good, the bad, the ugly
Thursday, February 13, 2003, 10:37 a.m.

the good:
We got cable and cable-modem installed yesterday. ^____^v

the bad:
We can't get our wireless LAN set up until Monday, which means I can't utilize said cable-modem. ;_;

the ugly:
My OS developed a nasty bug and I had to re-install Windows2000. Which means that although all my files were archived, many of my programs were erased. Like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and AOL. T_T

And, since I am getting connected to broadband on Monday (4 days), I really don't feel like re-installing AOL just to un-install it again days later. =_=

Went a little nuts last night. Steve, Stella, and I went out last night to a fundraiser at a club. Club was cool. They had a lot of local Asian American talent playing in both the outside and inside areas. In the back, there was even a place for art and spoken word.

I had one apple martini. But, man was it strong. x_x Then I met up with some other friends and we walked around a bit smoking. That was strong as hell, too. @.@ Then we went to go check out a freestyle battle. The battle was in this small room that could seat about 50 comfortably. Within 5 minutes, 50 had grown to about 150. Hella hot and hella cramped. @.@;; That's when the alcohol and smoking decided to jump my ass and slug me. I passed out. o.o;

That, my friends, was hella scary. The only other time I've ever passed out was several years ago when I was hit by a car. I was so embarrassed when I woke up. ^^; All my friends were gathered around to make sure I was alright, and Stella was off trying to call the paramedics, and I was lying there wondering what all the noise was. Then everything came rushing back. ^^;;; We went home right after that and I went straight to sleep.

*snerks* All in all, it was quite a night. Not something I ever want to repeat, but quite an ... interesting night all the same.

Now to beat those frickin' side-quests in FFX. Goddamn chocobo race! >.<

heaven or hell, let's rock!

I need to get me GGX2. *___* Oh, yes. Even if they did destroy Sol's voice. Luckily, actual gameplay voices still seem to be Japanese. ^__^

Must definitely cosplay Testament at some point.

Wanna put up v3.0 for m'idle ramblings, but Christy uninstalled ftp on her computer. :P
